This Week's Matchup

Women's Hockey WHAT: Harvard Crimson (2-5-1 ECAC) at Yale Bulldogs (0-6-1 ECAC) WHEN: Sunday, Jan. 28, 2 p.m. WHERE: Ingalls Rink WHY IT'S IMPORTANT: The Yale women's hockey team is coming off of a 6-2 win over Wesleyan last Wed., Jan. 24. They were led by captain Mara McAdams, TD '96, who scored a hat trick. The Bulldogs exploded for three goals in the first seven minutes and are, in fact, riding a two-game unbeaten streak (including a tie against Bowdoin). They are searching for their first ECAC win of the year - in fact their first in the past two years. They will depend on a good game from star goaltender Laurie Belliveau, TD '98, coupled with the continuation of the scoring touch they showed in their last contest. Harvard, meanwhile, could provide an excellent opportunity for the Elis. The Crimson are eighth in the conference, with five total points. A win in this game could help the Bulldogs reach one of their season goals and take a big step towards the completion of their rebuilding process.
