Silliman IMs

Winter has started a little slowly for Silliman Intramurals, but things are definitely starting to pick up. Men's volleyball picked up an impressive win against Calhoun last week, rallying after a lackluster performance in the first game. Key players included John Veysey '97, Seung "They can't tell where I'm hitting because I don't know either" Lee '98, Andrew Chen '99, Steve Song '98, Robby Luckett '99, Gary Huang '98, Dan Lyons '98, David Gorvits '98, and Mark Huey '96.

Water polo has begun another run at a championship season, with many seasoned veterans and enthusiastic newcomers. Returning from last year: Dave "One hat trick is never enough" Balfour '96, Anna Davis '96, Jen Martinez '97, Susan Wetstone '96, and Huey. Steve Guyer '96, Sam Clark '97, Laura "Anything for SM" Favazza '96, Tiffany Hewlin '96, Jesse Heitler '97, and many others are training hard and should contribute greatly later in the season.

C Hoops showed amazing skill in its heart stopping, action packed game on Tuesday. In 40 minutes of basketball, the hapless opponents were held to seven points. Michael Jordan couldn't have scored on our guys. Brett Libresco '99, Tim Lu '96, and several others form the core of this squad. Next week we're looking for a shutout.

Oh yeah, we're on the web now. http://pantheon.cis.yale.edu/~mrkhuey/im/. Now you can play intramurals from your own room. Not really, but you can find out when the weeks' games are. (Compiled by the Silliman Intramural Staff.)
