Police Blotter

On Fri., Apr. 5 at 11:36 a.m., Wall Street (WLH), a complainant reported that someone threw a chair through a window in Room 113 and damaged the door to Room 115. The complainant also reported betting the suspect that he couldn't do it again.

On Sat. Apr. 6 at 8:14 a.m., Ashmun Street (Physical Plant), a complainant reported the theft of several winning lottery tickets which were left unattended on his desk in the Control Center. Last week's lottery jackpot went unawarded.

On Sat. Apr. 6 at 10:23 a.m., Whitney Avenue (Human Resources), a male subject was detained when he was seen in the parking lot carrying a stereo component. It was found to have been retrieved from a dumpster behind Take 5 Audio.

On Sat. Apr. 6 at 11:46 a.m., Cedar Street (Sterling Hall of Medicine), a complainant reported the theft of her Macintosh Classic personal computer which was left in Room I-228 unattended and secured. Complainant told the officer on duty that she wished to thank the person who stole her computer if they were ever arrested.

On Sat. Apr. 6 at 3:07 p.m., High Street (Branford College), a complainant reported the theft of a bicycle seat which had been secured to the wall in the basement. The rest of the bike was secured elsewhere and was untouched.

On Sun. Apr. 7 at 8:32 p.m., High Street (CCL), a complainant reported the theft of her unattended purse from the lower level study area.

On Mon. Apr. 8 at 7:45 p.m., Wall Street (Woodbridge Hall), 22 persons were arrested for Obstructing Free Passage after they were blocking entrances to the building and refused a lawful order to disperse.

On Tues. Apr. 9 at 5:43 a.m., College Street (Woolsey Hall), a male and a female were arrested for Criminal Trespass III after they were found on the second floor of the building without permission or authority. The male was also charged with Interfering with Police after he resisted the arresting officer's attempts to handcuff him. The male was trying to point out that he already had handcuffs on.
