BK a la rhyme
"We are not afraid," I said long ago
While composing an IM write-up with my good friend Phuc.
The games and the contests that have passed since that day
Have proven the words we were so cocky to say.
For squash and volleyball have all finished strong
Showing the doubters how horribly they were wrong.
Water polo, so close, just a few calls away-
Don't sit so pretty, you Bulls, we'll get you someday.
On the court, in the pool, or off in the lanes,
With a spirit of skill that just never wanes.
And up late at night is the famous senior Jeff Glasser
No more York Street, just a skillful puck passer.
With Dave Novick '97, Ryan Davies '96, and frosh Webster McBride,
Perhaps not quite Slapshot, but still nothing to hide.
Dave Fischer '99 and Houman Fardin '97 also got in on the action,
Leaving their hapless opponents in emotional traction.
Congratulations, Berkeley, on a job so well done.
Look forward to spring and all the games to be won.
(Compiled, obviously, by a friend of Phuc. Who could ask for anything more?)
