Trumbull Intramurals

As the winter begins to get cold, Trumbull IMs are just starting to warm up for the season. With strong showings from a-hoops, b-hoops, ice hockey, and men's volleyball before break, the Bulls would like to make this a season to remember.

TC waterpolo played a strong game in their season opener against Pierson, losing 3-2 in OT. Both of Trumbull's points came from Beth Spencer '97, while Dan Vining '98 defended for Pierson in the goal.

Trumbull a-hoops is currently a young, rebuilding team. Captain Justin Sommers '99 reports, "We've got a lot of young bucks [I'm sure he meant bulls] in the stable. All we gotta do is just strap on our saddles." Senior member of the team Joe "Country" Giaconi '97 has been working hard inside along with Andre Deazle '99 and Jon Blevins '99. According to Sommers, if the team continues to grow and prosper, they should be a force to reckon with by either 1999 or 2004.

B-hoops has also been making waves for the Bull. In their game against JE, captain Dane Horton '97 was injured with a hip-pointer resulting from a too-harsh foul, putting him out of commission for at least two weeks. In honor of their injured leader, B-hoops had a big win against Pierson this week, leading by as much as 15 points, as everyone worked together to bring the team success.

More successes are on the way! Moo-Rah-Bulls!
