Jonathan Edwards Intramurals

Another year of Water Spider swimming domination looks inevitable. After a strong second place finish at this week's meet we are looking to crush our opposition in next week's finals. Strong performances were put in by the JE freshwomen, including Geraldine "Oh, I'm not that good" Campbell '00, Carolyn Nguyen "beneath my wings" '00, Yvonne "tually I'll be a sophomore" Yang '00, and Erin Arruda "bega is tasty" '00. There was also good swimming by "Ammonia" Laurel "Sulfate" Abbott '99, and Sam "hoooowl...were" Wolfe "s of London" '99.

But forget about the women. The men rocked. Captain Greg "Breaststroker" Lawson '97, Ben "Breaststroker" Mazin '97, Paul "Breaststroker" Lilly '99, Kevin "Breaststroker" Gobeske '99, and Josh "Breaststroker" Blum '00 were amazing in all their events, especially the breaststroke...all the breaststrokes.

Anyway, we are looking to win some big points in championships. You, slacker, who didn't come--get your ass out there next Tuesday. On to other water sports...

Once in a while, a team comes along that is so perfect in form and function that Lexus compares their cars to it. So perfect that God himself sits back and watches it in awe. We are not this team. We lost to TD by eight goals. They were pretty good. Good defense, good offense, good ball control. They deserved it. Thanks to all those who came out regularly this season, especially Matt "Dedicated" Bickford '00, Chris "Defense" Joseph '98, Rob "Breaststroker" Ronan '99, Caroline "Spud" Nguyen '00, Erin "person could not be found" Arruda '00, and of course me, Ben "New Strategy...Alcohol" Mazin 97.

Lets close out this season strong and win some shirts. JE SUXS!
