Trumbull

With the end of the fall season, many people in Trumbull are looking back at last year, and comparing where they were then and where they are now. It's unbelievable how much we've changed since last year! Trumbull used to play IMs just for fun and to avoid the freshman 15 that students from the other colleges seem to have more trouble keeping off. People in our college have suddenly become more interested
in doing well, and it really showed this season.

The most obviously spectacular focus of our intramurals this year was our undefeated soccer team. These guys showed great dedication, bringing out a full team plus five to six subs every single game. This is the same team which, in the past, has not been able to win the championship because of forfeits.

No more forfeits for this team!

The women's soccer team, which started off a bit slowly, is really attracting players for a change. Last year the team only consisted of Saybrugians, but this year Bull shirts can be seen everywhere. That's right--we've averaged four or five Trumbullians at each game this year. We have a lot of work to do, but potential emanates from our pores. Our team is already beginning to develop incredible offensive and defensive skills. We scored a goal in the second-to-last game, and allowed no goals to be scored on us in the last game!

While many coed and men's football teams were dead by the end of the season, Trumbull finished the season with two full teams. In fact, our men's team brought out quite a crew for the last game against Berkeley. While the team hasn't won all that many games, they've had a lot of fun going out there and getting down and dirty.

So what's my point? Trumbull's putting bodies in huge numbers out on the fields. That's why we may have finished low in Tyng points for the fall, but we're in fourth place with Davies points!! So in the spirit of '62, Trumbull is focusing on battling TD for the Davies Cup this year.

Now Trumbull is focusing its attention on the winter season. We have lots of teams psyched to dominate this season. Look out for one colossal Trumbull coed waterpolo team. Also, look out for Trumb-adults on the various courts this season. Not only are our master, her husband, and the dean each playing one sport, but we have lots of other fellows who are getting involved!

Last of all, keep your eyes and ears open for Trumbull's pep rally sometime this winter, featuring a member of the class of '62 and Trumbull's beautiful cheerleading squad. Moo-rah '62!
