Saybrook

After last year's dominating winter season, Saybrook is once again looking to take control of the Tyng Cup race.

Our entire basketball program is one of our great strengths. With Mike "No Sleeves" Reeves '01, Bob "Son of Neda" Nussbaum '02, and Dan "C is for crrrazy" Kelly '03, Saybrook B-hoops is thinking championship.

And then there's A-hoops. Led by sophomore captain Dan "Only" Chu "Can prevent forest fires," stalwarts Pat "Golden" Graham '01 and Eryan "Corn on the" Cobham '01, and secret weapon James "Don't get" Ahern"ia" '02, Saybrook is a solid 2-1, with its only loss coming at the hands of a powerful JE squad.

Let us not forget last year's C-hoops championship team. Despite a loss before the break, C-hoops is primed to win the rest of its games behind the play of captain Finnian "Jerkin" Durken '00, Kevin McGill"igan's Island" '02, Brian "In"Vinci"ble" '02, Matt "Oontz, oontz" Chang '01, and Bjorn "Pee Wee" Herman '01.

Oh yes—then there are the ladies. Arguably the strongest out of Saybrook's four powerful basketball teams, the undefeated women are led by Alice "Doesn't have a C" Liu '01 and Colette "The Enforcer" Fitzgerald '01, and have definite championship potential.

Men's volleyball has been playing well, despite some close losses. Captain Fingermunch '00, frosh sensation Nick Brown, and steady Miles Haladay '02 have been key contributors. Women's volleyball has started off strong but will need to string some victories together to earn the shirts they deserve.

Our ice hockey team has shown its potential. Captain Jon "No one" Ells "Does it better" '01 has made sure that his team is well-prepared and with the great play of goalie Dylan "Fillin' the net" Fuge '01 and Natalie "Gordie" Howe '01, Saybrook is looking to make a name for itself on the ice.
