Dartmouth women's hockey

When the Elis face Dartmouth on Sun., Jan. 30, they hope to avoid a rout like the one the Big Green inflicted on Maine on Sun., Jan 23. After a scoreless first period, Maine took a 1-0 lead early in the second, but Dartmouth's Correne Bredin '02 answered with a goal with 4:07 remaining in the period. The Big Green erupted in the third, as Bredin netted the winning goal, and Jennifer Wiehn '01 and Kim McCullough '02 tallied insurance goals to make it 4-1.

Harvard men's hockey

For nearly a month, Harvard stood alone at the top of the ECAC, but it began to totter shortly before its post-exam break, falling to Princeton, Clarkson, and St. Lawrence. The Cantabs did not compete at all during win-ter recess, and their upcoming exhibition game on Sat., Jan. 29 will be their first competition in two weeks. The Crimson had better hope that the furlough did not make them sluggish—Yale, Princeton, and Renssalaer are close on their heels.
