Davenport

What's up Doc, can we rock? You bet we can! The D-port gnomes are in the house, and they are getting ready to crush the competition. Are you ready? Either way, doesn't matter. Ain't nothing but a chicken wing on a string.

So what's up? Let's start with water polo, tearin' it up like the bad boys and girls they are. Throwing that ball in that net, yeah that's what it's all about—that and the two or three wins we racked up last week. But let's not forget about squash. Looking at the phenomenal, undefeated week both our teams just had, it seems as if varsity women's squash isn't the only team that's been doing some recruiting. But enough about that— hoops anyone? I'd like to give it up to our A, B, and women's squads for some serious effort points. We're still a little behind in the win category, but maybe we should take some pointers from our C-hoops squad, which has been beating up on anyone who steps on the court. Yeah, that's what I'm talking about.

The volleyball teams have been inconsistent. At first I couldn't figure it out, but then I realized that we were beating all the good teams and losing to the not-so-good ones, showing me that if you don't got game, neither do we.

But the teams of the week are clearly bowling and hockey. Bowling tore it up last Friday, and I'm so far from kidding that it's not even funny. Jason "There's no bowling in California" Friedrichs '02 and Dana "Look at me funny and I'll give you a" Peck '02 led our team to a 3-0 win on Friday. Let's just say that it wasn't pretty. Then there is hockey, or should I say, "Bam, hockey is frickin' good." Either way, they have been destroying formidable opponents and are sitting tied at the top salivating over the coveted IM champ shirts. Bring it.

(Complied by a "bitter" young man who is in serious need of talent and academic skills.)
