Pierson

Winter is Pierson's season. Pierson squash holds strong and undefeated with a key victory on Tues. Jan. 25 over Saybrook. Captain Rob "The Lob" Hanson '01 leads the fearsome team with Simon "I'm the" Best '02 and Isaiah "The Force" Wilner '00, and Jason Pessel '03. Shirts are all but guaranteed for this solid squad. The hockey team remains tied for first with a 5-1 record.

Men's volleyball suffered a critical loss against Saybrook , squandering an 11-1 lead. The team will fight back though, with Andy "En fuego" Borbely '00, and the veteran savvy of Jay "Wall of fire" Ozuna '00. Nevertheless, their record is still a respectable 6-2.

Coed water polo has had its share of close games, with at least three games decided in overtime play. Veterans Dan "The Man" Koehler '00 and Jeremy "El Capitan" Clainn '00 maintain their impressive physiques, and vengeful attitudes. Cara "The News" Drewes '03 reminds onlookers of Yasmine herself in her heroic Baywatch saves for the team. Props to Brit "The Hit" Lacy '03 and the other frosh who have helped the team all season long, playing well despite the team's 2-3 record.

In basketball news, C-hoops is still struggling and looking for players, having compiled an 0-7 record. However, A-hoops has been dominating as always, with a 6-0 record. B-hoops has had a lot of team spirit and has fought hard for their victories with a record of 3-3. Women's hoops has hooked us up with a few Tyng Cup points with a record of 2-4. That's the update, go us, let's whoop some ass.
