Timothy Dwight

The fierce lion warriors of TD have survived a few tough weeks, trudging eight miles uphill (both ways) to Payne Whitney, which apparently now lies well inside the Arctic Circle. While we have lost several athletes, may they rest in peace to hypothermia, morale remains high. But then how could we not be in good spirits when we are about to catapult up through the rankings faster than the snot freezes in your nose when you breathe in really deep?

Timothy Dwight's imminent breakout looks like it will be powered largely by our strong freshman participation. Props go out to "Ravishing" Ross Eaton, "Amorous" Aaron Gruber, Mark "Handsome" Hanudel, and Jeremy "the Hedgehog" Hogan of the C-hoops crew for their hard play, despite the fact they are lovers, not fighters. The women's volleyball team is looking especially strong with the help of freshpersons Jennifer "Go for the" Gold, Jessica Cohen, Chandra King, Nicole Thompson, Marti Morgan, and Julia Fiedler. Thanks also go to Steve Huff '01, Brian Kane '00, Luke Mraz '03, Gates "the Animal" Hurand '00, and "Nature Boy" Jonathan Cain '03, who helped TD start out the water polo season in the proper fashion.

Hang in there, TDers. Rest and sleep and don't forget to keep coming out to the courts, rink, and pool.
