Ezra Stiles

Stiles dominated yet another week of IMs and closed out last week with an out-of-our-way-or-you-will-only-get-hurt attitude that was sure to leave Saybrook shaking in their tentative and hardly convincing hold on second place. The Stiles women ravaged their athletically and aesthetically inferior opponents in basketball, squash, and volleyball. The lady ballers destroyed JE in an easy match, while the volleyball players crushed JE and Silliman in decisive wins. Nicki Davis '01 and Devon Linex '01 tore up the court, while Ximena Vidal '00 served some nasties over the net to score on some terrified Sillimanders.

In the world of squash, the Stiles boys and girls swept JE and left them standing on the courts in their protective eye gear and no-scuff shoes looking ridiculous, as most squash players—with the exception of Stilesians—usually do. The water polo team won a decisive victory against JE with a half-pool, line-drive goal by an amphibious Grant Chavin '01. And finally, on the ice, our strong Canadian defense led by Karl Muchantef '00 and Derek Leung '03 proved unstoppable. It's so important that you help Stiles continue this streak—if you can swim, for the love of God, get yourself to the pool next Tuesday, and show up for every competition against Morse. We are not going down as the lesser of the two ugly colleges.
