Morse

Well, we've done it again! For the third season in a row, Morse has tallied more points than any other college. Even recent Tyng champions cannot claim such consistency. Every Morse squad posted a winning record this winter. Unbelievable!

The turnaround in our women's sports has been particularly amazing. Women's hoops and volleyball both rebounded from 3-8 records last year to post winning final marks. Abby "When are we going to be in the Herald?" Rubin '00 led the volleyball team with her amazing setting. Strong performances were also put in by Diane "Choo" Choo '00, Sara "You are the bomb!" Perkins '01, Kristen "Spike of fury" Maturo '01, and Kaitlyn "Forest" Gumpper '03. And it goes without saying that Uma and Nicole rule!

Our basketball team was led by the same nucleus of Perkins, Maturo, and Gumpper. Added to this group was the dazzling ball-handling of Lillian "Mookie" Robinson '00, and our fab frosh Marjorie "Swish" Friedman '03, Michelle "Queen of the boards" Collins '03, and Ariel Dean "Jones" '03.

Of course, who can forget the amazing Morse women that have brought home championships this season. Squash went undefeated, anchored by Eranthie Weerapana '00, Amy Chang '00, and Perkins.

And although this article goes to print before the swim championships occur, our women, led by Lisa "Lisa the one I adore" Howie '00, Elvia "Marisol" Castro '03, and Joanna "My last name is" Busquetes '03, are clearly the reason we stand poised to avenge our one-point loss in last year's championship.

Why stop at three seasons of dominance? Let's make it four and take the Tyng in 2000. It's been an amazing ride so far.
