Branford

Alright people, the freshly-tanned faces of the Branford intramural hordes are back in the hiz-ouse and ready to carry the bFa mantle across the finish line. After an extremely successful winter season that saw the good guys climb back into the top half of the Tyng standings, we're gearing up to keep the momentum going this spring.

Coed softball has got the right stuff. After narrowly avoiding a forfeit to Saybrook, when Just-in-"time" Vaughn '02 joined the three girls needed to actually make the Branford squad "coed," the Swingers began swinging for the fences. After being penalized for tardiness and being forced to spot the 'Brugians four runs, Branford was edged 8-7. With God Quad roomies Dr. K '00 and "I've got so" Manny "skills" Caixeiro '00 holding down the mound and third base this season, this game may be the only notch Branford suffers in the loss column.

How's Branford ultimate frisbee, you ask? Okay, so maybe you didn't ask, but we'll tell you anyway. This traditionally strong squad returns big-time performers such as Juan Foster-Keddie '00 and Joanna "It's like `meanders' without the `e'" Manders '01. After losing in the playoffs the last two seasons, these guys are dying to go all the way. We've also got big plans for coed soccer. After a successful '99 campaign, the squad has returned most of its talent, has added some fresh new faces, and plans on kicking both you and the ball around this season.

So the warning is now officially given to the cocky colleges ahead of us in the standings. While you guys scratch it out amongst yo'selves, don't be surprised if we pick a few of you off. In fact, expect it.

(Compiled by someone who somehow forgot about Dre).
