As the blazing red sun sets and casts trails of the blood we've shed for TD, so has another week of IMs come to a close like a roaring lion. Still hungry for more, we return to our den to heat our arms and ice our ankles. Speaking of throwing heat, our softball team ain't got a belly-itcher. Vanessa Knutsen '03 has pitched very well, but, hell, we all know that a pitcher is a mere belly-itcher without her peeps in the field. Shout-outs all the way to the outfield to Danica Liberman '00, Bobby Winslow '00, and Brian Kane '00. Our ruby-studded infield includes Jason Leon '03, Marti Morgan '03, Becca Popowsky '03, and catcher Emily Johnson '00.Great stuff has been going down on the soccer fields as well, where Rohit Malik '00 has played quite well. He backed that ass up with some great players including Aaron Gruber '03. Wiley Kestner '02 called the plays, and Andrea Stewart '02 and Caitlin Klevorick '02 played well. With the help of all-stars like Thomas Kane '01, Leah Zimmerman '02, Steve Salmon '00, and goalie David Thompson '02, this team is looking at an incredible season.
Field hockey co-captain, Ellen Morrow '01, with the help of freshmen talent like Shanette Porter, Emily Kovich, and Erin Coughlin, should lead this team through a great season. Sophomores Tasha Craw and Karen Siegel have been heading up the offense with Sarah Chamberlin '00 returning after a season abroad to continue her reign of terror in the backfields.
