Brown women's hockey

Goalie Ali Brewer '00 was awarded the 2000 Patty Kazmaier Award, given by USA Hockey to the best varsity player. Brewer was chosen from four nationwide finalists and was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Tournament MVP after leading the Bears to the title. She was third in the nation this year with a 1.33 goals against aver-age and second in the country with a .943 save percentage. Her performance earned her a spot on the U.S. National Team Training Camp roster.

Pennsylvania wrestling

Pennsylvania received its first NCAA championship since 1942 when two-time All-American Brett Matter '00 won the NCAA Wrestling Championships. Matter has the most wins in Penn history, amassing a re-cord of 128-14. He has qualified for the NCAA tournament four times in addition to being four-time All-Ivy.
