Ezra Stiles

Intramurals, intramurals, intramurals...seeping into our minds...our brains soaked...our priorities changed...no going back...must play...must play...must play....

That's right, world. Stiles has rebounded from the strange bug that waylaid the Stilesian population at the end of 1997. We have defeated this parasite and our ingrained sense of duty has returned. Are you ready? Because we're ready to rumble!

Stiles is prepared to show the world what Tyng dynasty means. Our sixth-place finish in December was a fluke, a mishap, a paranormal experience. We are not daunted. With the ability to field multiple teams in many of the sports, Stilesians are ready to face the threat that has appeared to our dynasty. We are anxious to meet this challenge and regain what is rightfully ours.

Leading the way is our expert pair of ice hockey captains, Andrew Bonney '99 and Karl Seibert '99. With their influence, we masterfully annihilated Trumbull in an 8-1 win with multiple scores by Tad Yanagi '00 and Steve Gibbons '01. Pete Groves '99 and Ed West '01 each contributed goals as well. Even better, we showed our perennial rival TD who rules in a 6-4 routing, with hat tricks by Mark Smith '01 and Gibbons.

But that's not all. B-hoops is off to a roaring 4-1 start under the guidance of the senior triumverate--Jeff Wang, Gabe Sayers, and Alex Greenstein. Likewise, captain Maegan Plagge '00 is leading a band of frosh and sophomores, plus senior phenom Rashida Braggs '98, to an excellent slammin' season of women's hoops.

Last, bowlers beware--ES bowling is getting serious. After passing a highly stringent aptitude test, only the most able will be allowed to bowl. Alex Robbins '98 and Bill Burdett '98 will make sure that we prevail.

This is only a taste of our greatness...be afraid...be very afraid...'cause the moose is loose!
