Pierson

Pierson IMs are making the winter surge, raising their standing in the race for the Tyng! Despite the unfortunate deaths of the men's and women's squash teams, Pierson is more than representing itself on the battlefield, and is poised to claim the most shirts in the winter season. Fear of Pierson courses through the veins of every college.

Men's A-hoops continues to dominate, as sophomore stars dribble circles around the competition. Has any team lost by less than 10 points? It's highly doubtful with an average spread of 35. Jeff "Big Daddy" Hockenbrock '00 continues to awe fans with his pervasive command of the paint. They will be expecting shirts.

In hockey highlights, Nick "the stick" Madden '98 has guided the team successfully, with a variety of players lighting up the rink. Recent success has been misattributed to the team's recent decision to start wearing skates. This too was only a rumor. Nick could not be reached for comment.

Back to the volleyball scene. Pierson women, continuing to fight back from early season losses, have dominated their recent games. The team appears unstoppable of late, due to the leadership of captain Anita "Bump" Kishore '99, freshman Daniela "Set" Ricciardi, and muscle-bound hitter Anne "Spike" O'Brien '98. Recent rumors of steroid use have been proven untrue.

In non-stop lane excitement, the Pierson bowling team has been reaching their previous level of intensity, smelling victory (or are those cigarettes?) each time they visit the alley. Dan "the Hammer" Skodol '98 utilizes his inexplicable physical talents in yet another sport tellin' those teams how it is.

The winter season is proving fruitful as always for Pierson. Remember our motto: "Fear Pierson, for we are stronger than you, and will beat you up."
