Saybrook

Well, it's nearing the end of winter, and SY is still atop the IM heap. I can only thank the hordes of Saybrugians who make the trek to Payne Whitney each night to contribute to our nearly .800 winter winning percentage. Saybrook continues to come up clutch in big games, especially thanks to our women.

Women's hoops is the quintessential example. Captains Robyn "Post Up" Harris '99 and Alice "The Pickpocket" Liu '01 have led the Saybrugians to a 5-1 mark, good for first place in the North. Natty B. '00, Kristen "Coast to Coast" Gengaro '00, Shari "Inside Force" Rogal '01, Nia "The Rebounder" Edwards '98, Catherine "I got more moves than Dave" Hinsdale '99, and Elena "Backdoor Cut" Saxonhouse '99 have triumphed twice in overtime to clinch a place in the playoffs.

With recent victories over ES, DC, and BR, the women's volleyball team pulled into first place on Tuesday night, while competing with only five players.

Water polo continues to roll after a clutch 5-4 victory over TD in overtime. The bowling, B-hoops, men's squash, and men's volleyball teams all remain at the top of their respective divisions.

Message from a hockey captain: thanks to all of our fans for coming out to support us in our 4-1 triumph over previously unbeaten Morse. Thanks also to all of our players for turning in an amazing effort--most notably Behi "Reader Representative" Rabbani '99, who turned away at least 30 Morse shots.

Saybrugians, the Tyng is not clinched. Let's finish what we've started.

(Compiled by one still looking to score his first water polo goal.)

Back to IMs...
