The streak is over

A record 1,135 spectators packed Princeton's Jadwin Gymnasium to watch their Tigers end first-place Harvard's remarkable 32-game Ivy League winning streak. The contest was a fierce battle from start to finish. Princeton led 24-22 at the half, and neither squad led by more than five points the rest of the way. Crimson forward Allison Feaster '98 completed a three-point play with 2:45 left to put Harvard up by a point, 53-52. The Tigers quickly answered with a three-point play of their own, as Kate Thir-holf '00 gave Princeton the lead for good at 55-53.

The 56-53 final snapped one of the most impressive streaks in Ivy League history. Princeton (11-8, 5-2 Ivy) is now within a game of Harvard (16-3, 6-1 Ivy) in the Ancient Eight standings.
