Trumbull
You'd have to be color-blind to miss the fluorescent
orange guns being carried around by Trumbullians all over campus this week.
Despite the rumor that we have them to attack the people who live on the fourth
floor of Berkeley, it's actually because most of Trumbull is obsessed with a
little game we call Assassin.
Perhaps it's the stress relief of knowing that IMs are no-killing zones that's
prompting people to come out to participate, and just maybe it's for this
reason that TC is pulling out of last place for the first time in several
weeks.
Despite the fact that only five people came out to swim, the swim team managed
to place extremely well in many events. And even with our small number,
captains Liane Mark '99 and Mike Thompson '00 managed to keep the team out of
last place.
All of Trumbull's teams have had their moments this season. Just to name a
few, A-hoops, led by Justin Sommers '99 and Vinnie "Billy the Kid" Wilhelm '00
(it's a reference to his jacket and his killing ability, damn it!), helped
Trumbull become the only college to even put up a fight against the mighty,
undefeated Pierson team, losing the game by a very small margin. A couple
floors above in the gym, the water polo team has won all of the games when it
has had enough people come out to play.
Trumbullians, your captains John Mills '99 and Dan "Captain Freedom's
Assistant" Vining '98 need your help!! They can't do it alone. The bottom line
is that with the way this week has gone, if Assassin were an IM sport, Saybrook
would finally have a run for its money!
(Compiled by someone who just became old enough to rent the car she needs to
successfully pull off an unprecedented Assassin drive-by shooting.)
Back to IMs...
