Saybrook

Well, the end of the winter is finally approaching and life seems to be going well in the 'Brook. We've already garnered two championship shirts and more may very well be on their way. Bowling, led by captain Kevin "N"I"rrr"rwin '99 and his 160.7 average, Nate "I can't throw straight" Bohn '99, Scott "Wow, another free Big Mac" Yaecker '99, and Natasha "The Mark Queen" Bloom '00, rolled its way through fierce opposition to a 10-1 record and the Tyng championship shirts, thanks partially to a little help from "The Natural," BR '98, in his bowling finale.

Saybrook water polo also sits atop the IM heap with an undefeated 10-0 record. How could one lose with the fab frosh girl defenders of Debbie Liptzin, Annie Eure, and Alice Liu, along with Bert Chan '00 and Len Law '98 throwing in goals like it was their job, and John Whipple '99 and Carla Dane '99 shutting down all their opponents' offense? Sweet revenge for last year's sole defeat was a 10-3 victory over Berkeley, as the Asian Invasion rolled off eight unanswered goals.

In conclusion, I guess there is just a little left for Saybrook (Luxembourg/Shelley Duval) to say. Overconfidence is a wonderful thing, Berkeley, but shouldn't you reserve trash talking until you are at least within 100 points of the opposition? Also, BK, as a hint for future reference, scoring for your opponent and kissing your opponent's center are not very good ways to win C-hoops games.

Regardless, Saybrugians, we can't and we won't and we don't stop. Bring on the spring. It's time to finish what we've started. Carpe TYNG!

Back to IMs...
