Mangurian Candidate

In Ithaca, NY, Peter K. Mangurian was named the fifth Roger J. Weiss '61 Coach of Football, replacing Jim Hofher, who departed for a coaching position at North Carolina. Cornell's 23rd head coach, Mangurian is expected "to take Cornell football to the next level," according to Cornell Athletic Director Charles H. Moore. Mangurian spent a decade as an offensive coordinator for the New York Giants, Denver Broncos, and Atlanta Falcons. He has coached in many playoffs and advanced to the Super Bowl with the Broncos in 1989. Prior to his stint in the NFL, Mangurian coached at several major college programs, including two seasons at Stanford.
