Women's ice hockey: Leaving home with a smile

Winning the last home game of the season is an important goal for many teams. After suffering through numerous losses this season, the women's hockey squad defeated Colby 3-0 on Sat., Feb. 21, in their final game at Ingalls this year. Sue Barnes, DC '00, led the team with a goal and two assists, and goalie Laurie Belliveau, TD '98, played another solid game in net, earning her second shutout of the year.

The team has had little to cheer about this season. With a record of 6-16-2, winning their last game at home was a bittersweet end for the beleaguered team. The team finishes off their season this weekend with games at Northeastern and Harvard, two teams they lost to earlier in the season.
