Gymnastics

...In their only home league meet of the season, the
gymnastics team (6-0 overall, 2-0 Ivy) defeated a strong Pennsylvania squad,
sliding past the Quakers by five-tenths of a point on Sat., Jan. 31. The meet
was marked by costly falls on the balance beam. Sarah Van Wart, ES '99,
turned in one of the few solid beam performances, scoring a 9.400. Nicole
Hoffman, BR '01, placed first on the uneven bars with a score of 9.600, and
Katie Kleiner, DC '01, won the all-around with 37.675. Kleiner also set
a Yale record in the floor exercise with a score of 9.750.
