Women's Basketball: The final split

The Bulldogs finished their final homestand of the season in respectable fashion with a win and a loss. Going 6-2 in their final eight matchups, the team ended up in fifth place with a 14-12 (8-6 Ivy) record.

On Fri., Feb. 27, Yale fell to Harvard by a score of 77-62. Autumn Braddock, BK '99, and Alyson Miller, JE '01, each had 10 points while Ryan Hardaker, MC '98, led the way with 11. Unfortunately, the victory clinched the Ivy League title for the Cantabs.

Despite their loss the previous night, the Blue bounced back on Sat., Feb. 28 in their final game of the regular season to bring second-place Dartmouth down to third. The Big Green went down by a score of 57-53, being outshot from the foul line 17-9. Katy Grubbs, SM '99, led the way for the Bulldogs, scoring 13 points. Harmonee Williams, JE '98, scored 11 in the final game of her Yale career while Braddock added 10 with five rebounds. "The last game was a great way to end my career, and though I'll miss playing, I'll miss my teammates above and beyond everything else," Williams said.
