Saybrook

Well, Saybrook, so far it's been a torrid 14-1 record during the spring. There have been many heroes in this winning streak as well as many wins by forfeit. I'd like to devote most of this column to a few of the many departing seniors who have contributed so much to Saybrook Intramurals.

Jordan Neysmith: the CrAzy CaNuCk. Soccer defensive anchor, dominant swimming and volleyball captain, coed football and ice hockey mammoth, and motivator extraordinaire (he's not going to design Tyng championship shirts though).

Emily Schroeder: the most versatile player. Soccer, ultimate, softball, squash, swimming.

Bong Koh and Justin Bergner: Beta boys and soccer studs.

Teddy Werner: football general like Elway who finally went all the way.

Shawn Stoval and Danny Magida: rare appearances but outstanding results in football, soccer, and squash.

Lynn Kessler: singles ping-pong Titan.

Martha Surridge: softball, ultimate, and volleyball (better at all of these than Jonathan Dizney '97, might I add).

Ben Platt and Bryce Bardezbanian: hockey stars, offense and defense, who carried the team to an 11-0 mark this year.

Jakub Czyz and Josh Taton: cross-country giants who staved off the BK attack.

Pete Haas: swimming phenomenon even using only one leg.

Doug Cullum: the big man in B-hoops' reversal of fortune from last year.

Our time has come. The Tyng lies on the horizon. Let's get down to business.

(Compiled by someone who is looking to shut down Lord God Mike the Inconsiderate and the Branford IM Jedi in a Frisbee reschedule next Wednesday.)
