DavenportFrom four-on-four volleyball captain Catherine Price '01 come a few words of inspiration: "Let me just give shout-outs to the dedicated athletes who showed up yesterday to defeat the enemy in a blaze of...forfeit. We decided, out of pity, to play their team anyway, but just as the fun was about to begin, our star player, Alice Kim '01, got smacked in the head by the pole of the net as it collapsed. Yes. So props to you, Alice, for taking a hit for the team."Resulting from a strange series of events we can only categorize as some form of cheating, our women's field hockey team está muerte. It is nice to remember that Diana Erdmann-Sager '01, dedicated IMer that she is, cried herself to sleep the night after our last forfeit. Thanks to our captains: Matt Obernauer '00, Lincoln Else '99, Eli Horowitz '99, Simon Rodberg '00, Tim O'Meara '00 (hey TD girls: 6-1347), Gracey Nagle '00, Tim Heffron '00, and Allyson Bowen '98. Although in spring it is arguable that the best place for D-porters is on a blanket in the courtyard, listening to the Top Gun soundtrack and drinking Boone's out of wine glasses on a silver platter. There are teams to be filled out and games to be played. There's only one full week of IMs left this year, so come out and support your college. We are young, we are building, and next year, DC and Tyng will be one.
