Morse
As the intramural season comes to a close, Morse has
found its calling. We alone are in a position to make history. A good showing
next week will relegate TD to a finish in the second division for the first
time in 22 years!
A mighty nail was driven into TD's coffin last week with our remarkable 1-0
victory on the soccer field. Unable to capitalize, even with a three player
advantage, TD's frustration led them to commit a foul on IM Secretary Paolo
"Jorge" Campos '01 with 10 minutes remaining in the game. Enraged at the attack
on his fellow Morsel, Colin "Miracle Man" Pan '01 emphatically fired the free
kick into the back of the net from midfield, and broke the backs of the
opposition in the process.
Under the leadership of captain T.J. "Flash" Gordon '98, Morse golf did us
proud with a gutsy performance out on the links. Though T.J.'s true love is
still bowling, he put his heart and soul into the contest, matching Mark
O'Meara's Masters' winning score of 67. Congratulations go out to our top
scorer Dan "Tiger Woods" Duggan '98, as well as "Junkyard" John Kirkowsi '00
and Lisa "Annika Sorenstam" Howie '00.
With just two weeks left, three Morse teams remain undefeated. Though we
expected to put in a strong showing in billiards, we have already exceeded all
expectations in ultimate and field hockey, qualifying for the playoffs. With
three teams in the playoffs, dreams of shirts will soon be realities.
And so it comes down to these last two weeks. Yale has put its trust in us to
put TD away for good. So let's get out to the fields and win it for Eli!

world.)
