Back on top: Princeton men's lacrosse
On Sat., Apr. 11, Princeton (6-1, 3-0 Ivy) returned to the top of the
national rankings this week, beating Harvard 15-7 in Cambridge. The Tigers
knocked Maryland (8-1), which lost to Johns Hopkins, out of the top spot.
Although 1997 Ivy League Player of the Year attacker Jon Hess '98 was on the
bench with a pulled hamstring, defender John Harrington '99 scored twice in
contributing to the win. Princeton's tight defense has allowed only 18 goals
this season. Attacker Chris Massey '98, who has scored in 42-straight games,
notched three goals against Harvard. With three games left to play, against
weaker league teams, the Tigers are seeking their fourth-straight Ivy League
title.
