Albert Chen--
Just like that, back in the game. Two weeks to go,
two weeks for Lin and Smith to pull a Sprewell. On the home front, the Quakers
will be feeling Blue after both tennis teams get through with them ($1,000
each). Women's lax puts the hurt on New Hampshire tomorrow night ($1,000). At
Fenway, Pedro will silence the Tribe tonight, fanning at least eight ($1,500)
and will lead his Sox to a win ($1,000). Raffy loves to go deep in Texas--he'll
do it twice ($700). Actually a huge weekend in the NBA--Bulls win two ($2,000),
but the Jazz take overall home court ($2,000). Last Week: +$4,500. Current
Balance: $12,700.
Sharon Lin--
How could the Bulls have lost to the Pacers? And the Pistons? I'm devastated. But winning. Saturday, Bulls embarrass the Knicks one more time ($2,000). In baseball, $800 for the Red Sox to take at least two of four from the Indians. The Cubs will do better than 1-3 when the Dodgers visit ($1,000). In more baseball, the Bulldogs sweep Harvard ($100 each). On the home front and away, the women's golfers keep their Ivy title ($1,000), women's lax over Vandy and UNH ($1,000 each), and both tennis teams beat Columbia and Pennsylvania ($1,000 each). Last Week: +$1,650. Current Balance: $14,810
Peter Smith--
OK, tee hee, yeah I lost some dough last week. When you have that much, you can afford to be a little risky. (Note--despite my losses, I'm only 60 bucks off the lead.) Enough tomfoolery. My boys on the north side--minimum of two out of three against the Dodgers ($2,500). The Bulls shut everyone up with a win over the Knicks to close out the season ($1,500). Back at Yale, watch men's and women's track defeat Harvard ($1,000 each), and men's lacrosse will cause the Soccer-Lacrosse stadium to pull a Yankee Stadium with their earth-shattering defeat of Harvard ($800). Last Week: -$2,250. Current Balance: $14,750.
Fabián Rosado--
That's Dr. Rosado! I did not go through six years
of Evil Publisher School to be called Mr., thank you very much! Seattle takes
home court advantage in the West ($500) while the Lakers give Utah a little
how's your father ($750). The Devils will ask the Islanders who does
Number Two work for? ($1,000), but the Stars will edge out the Devils for
the President's Trophy ($750--I also like to live dangerously.) Finally,
Austin 3:16 will give out a little "Hell Yeah!" this weekend at the New
Haven Coliseum for...one hundred billion dollars! (or maybe just
$3,160). Do I expect them to pay? No, I expect them to die! Last week:
-$2,500. Current Balance: $5,645.
Fabián Rosado, PC '99, is the publisher of The Yale
Herald.
