Quaker crown: Pennsylvania men's golf
Just five years after its team acquired varsity
status, the Quakers took their first-ever league title, edging favorite Yale by
two strokes. Pennsylvania jumped out to the early lead after the first day of
competition, and overcame a furious rally from the Bulldogs on the second day.
Four of the five Quaker golfers shot a +5 on the day, and Christoph Kyrle '99
led all golfers with a round of 72. Kyrle, Rob Goldfaden '00, and captain Adam
Bradshaw '98, were named to the All-Ivy team following their championship
performance.
