JE spring IMs are off to a shaky start, but every cloud has its silver lining. One thing is for sure--JE's billiards team rocks. Led by captains Beth Johnston '99 and Nadia Krupp '99, we crushed Stiles to a pulp last week. Our other powerhouses were Ben Blum-Smith '00 and Jason Lichter '00 who were such badasses that they brought their own stick and whooped some Stiles asses with it.

Unfortunately, we forfeited games in ultimate and field hockey. JE had great a great last three innings of softball this week which ended up at a tie of 1-1. However, the first inning, we lost 6-0 so the final score was 7-1 which wasn't so great.

Soccer has been very frustrating because we have the greatest guys in the world but the ladies won't show. Greg Guice '98, Chip Schradin '98, Eskinder Hailu '98, Richard Wildman '01, Alex Jhin '01, and many others guys are out there representing. The difference is only two or three ladies away.

The goal of this season is clear--not finish in 12th place! So far, we are almost 50 points away from 11th place. I have heart. I know we can do it. I will pay off Trumbull IM athletes if need be dammit.

(Compliled by someone who has just written an article after an early Wednesday of heavy drinking.)
