Lions attack Quakers
With preseason favorites Harvard and Brown struggling,
Pennsylvania, the media's pick to finish third in the Ivies, is hoping to
establish itself as the team to beat. A victory over visiting Columbia (2-2) on
Sat., Oct. 17 would solidify the Quakers' position atop the league standings.
Pennsylvania (3-1) opened the year with a narrow win at Dartmouth, then dropped
a game to Richmond before posting victories over Bucknell and Fordham. The
Quakers are led by All-Ivy running back Jim Finn '99, who is averaging 128
rushing yards per game. Finn will be tested this weekend by a tough Columbia
ground defense that has surrendered only 52.5 yards per game.
