Where's Prairie View?
Harvard football
Not since man first breached the stratosphere has the
Harvard football team started this poorly. For the first time in 40 years the
Cantabs have lost the first two games of the season. Outscored 54-14 over the
last two weeks, the defending Ivy League champions are a shadow of last year's
dominating squad, which finished the season 9-1 and undefeated in the league.
In a 34-14 loss to Colgate on Sat., Sept. 25, the Crimson were forced to play
without All-Ivy running back Chris Menick '00, who was sidelined with an ankle
injury. Though they managed to force seven turnovers, Harvard failed to
capitalize and were overpowered as Colgate took control of the game in the
fourth quarter.
