Silliman

Eight grueling weeks of IMs are over, and reflecting on a 315.5-point fall campaign that represents Silliman's best showing since 1995, I gotta say that the most important block on campus is in top form to wreak havoc in Da House That Whitney Built.

In the fall season finale, women's soccer decided to show up--and how! The four-person strong fearsome female force (say that three times fast) contributed four goals in a 12-0 clinic against a resilient BFA, even after yours truly joined the ranks of the Harkness foes! Captain Nicole Castonguay '00 went coast to coast twice, with Sarah "Vock and" Vollbracht '02 adding one and Anna "Goal for me" Taylor-Shih '02 sending one home as well. Star midfielder Isabel "Wherefore art thou" Romero '02 added an assist to the effort. These women are unlike any other IM athletes in Silliman--they're the only ones taking home fall championship shirts! (See, there is an incentive to playing IMs.)

A big thank you to our graduating fall IMers, starting with our soccer captains J-luv and Tank, as well as Mooney, Drew, Robby, Brett, Ben, Puffy, Eric, and Matt. Much props to the seniors of razzle-dazzle: captain Danny Boy, Rob-Jam, Michelle, Maria, Laura, Mike, and Melissa. And let's not forget tennis stars Doris and Pranti, Ryan the golfer, Gorvitz the No. 1 ping-ponger, and Lilly the volleyballer! If I left out anyone, thank you as well, and you can get me back when Sillikillers starts.
