Saybrook

Sometimes, it seems that the breaks just don't fall one's way. It is certainly true that Saybrook has received its fair share of tough breaks. Our women's soccer team has died and gone to its grave. Our men's soccer team has suffered three losses by one goal. Sometimes, it seems that our last hope is our undefeated table-tennis team, led by captain Karna Basu '99, which looks to duke it out with Berkeley for the shirts for the third consecutive year. It's not time to complain and lament over the past. It's time to regroup and take charge of our fate.

The year is still young. For most colleges, fourth is a good start, but that is simply not the case for Saybrook. For all you skeptics willing and ready to count us out of the Tyng Cup race, don't hold your breath. We're coming for you one by one, and we won't stop until we reach the top.

Women of Saybrook, we need you. Intramural cross-country is Mon., Oct. 12 at 4 p.m. on the intramural fields. You get there by taking a bus at Payne Whitney Gym over to the fieldhouse--they run every 15 minutes. Please come out for us. We need you.

(Compiled by the Punisher, who has finally found the "love for IMs again." It's time to rumble.)

Back to IMs...
