Silliman

With study break ice cream in our bellies, schedules in hand, and the absolute will to kick some serious butt in the House that Payne built, please rest assured that Sillimanders are raring and ready to improve on their current standing in the middle of the Tyng pack.

Already league favorites in many sports, the rest of Yale would be well-advised to prepare for a severe beatdown from the red and green monsters on this here block. Michelle "Jordan" Maiolo '99 returns nearly all her starters and has been planning for victories in women's hoops since the summertime. Ben "The Great One" White '99 has resolved to get the Dean a hat trick sometime before he graduates, as well as to skate circles around every single opponent on the rink, period.

Varsity soccer studs David "Bullet" Boehmer '00 and Phil "Phenom" Harris '00 come off the field and onto the basketball court, itching to better last year's A-hoops mark of 8-3. Meanwhile, Laura "I was on my high school's state championship bowling team" Cinski '99 and rookie Aaron "300" Crowell '02 promise to rack up strikes and spares left and right.

And...oh yeah, volleyball. How could I forget Andrew "Spike" Chen '99, who will lead one of the deepest teams in the field in an effort to finally capture his long-awaited shirt. And my sophomore spikers, also known as the loudest intramural team ever assembled, will keep Room H plenty noisy with out-calls and spikes a-plenty from the likes of Cariann "I think I" Chan '01, Ceren "The Terrible Turk" Bingol '01, and Lilly "Wonder Woman" Wang '99.

So bring on the TD'ers (I mean, we do play them first across the board!). Hell, bring on the whole lot o' ye, we can handle you all at once. It may be just fun and games for some of you out there, but Silliman means you only Payne.
