Pierson

Eight long weeks of fall IMs are over, and Pierson is finally out of the cellar and moving to the top where it belongs. We started off slow, plagued by forfeit after forfeit, but we finished the season in a more than impressive style, surpassing Davenport and JE (sux) in the final two weeks.

Men's soccer won its last two games to finish over .500 for the first time since Richard Nixon was in office, thanks mainly to the valiant efforts of Dan "Backstreet Boy" Koehler '00 and Tim "where's the" Lovelock '01. Volleyball also finished strongly, going 5-0 with the help of Alya "set this" Adamany '02, Steve "Spike" Shafer '01, Andy "I got mad ups" Borberly '00, Yemi "The Wall" Getahun '01, and Matt "Can't touch this" Janik '00, but the team suffered a heartbreaking loss to Calhoun in the playoffs.

The winter season is about to begin, and it's time to start coming out for IMs, Piersonites. We're the reigning champs in A-hoops, women's hoops, and volleyball, and this winter is the time to start kicking ass and taking names. No more whining about the long bus ride to the IM fields and not being back until 6:30 for dinner. No more excuses about 7:00 sections and labs all the way up the hill in SCL. Look out for signs for the winter intramural signup party coming soon to a dining hall near you.
