Davenport

As one of the first six residential colleges, JE has long been known as the most spirited college at Yale. This year is no different. JE has shown that while JE Sux, all other colleges just plain suck.

While our numbers may be small, our members are huge and misshapen. As evidence, we started off our winter season with a bang by beating up the not-so-mighty Berkeleyites in the ghetto dorm. We thrashed them in A-hoops 56-39, led by captain Chris Barnard '99, Rob Welhoelter '99, Joe Cresotti '99, Alfredo Maldonado '99, and football duo Jake "The Hands" Borden '00 and Matt "The Beast" Bickford '00. B-hoops lost a close one 39-33. Coed hockey matched last winter's win total of one by beating BK 6-5 in a stunning show by captain John Flynn '00 and his rowdy unkempt crew of disasters on ice. Our star, Pat "Magroin" McGarvey '01, scored along with a host of others. It sure sucks not to be in JE.

As you all might know already, many JE athletes are sporting the new IM shirt. Didn't JE have new IM shirts last spring you ask? Well, yes, but we thought we should get some more, because we can. Hey, that's unfair, you say? Too bad, because you aren't in JE and you suck. Watch out as JE climbs the Tyng ladder once again to claim its rightful spot near the top.
