PiersonPierson is off to a great start in the winter season with a win in B-Hoops over Stiles. In just 40 short minutes, our eight men, led by captain Tyler Mertes '99, doubled their opponents' score. Will "Slam Dunk" Russell-Shapiro said with cockiness, "We completely dominated them."Get ready loyal Piersonites--this is only the beginning. After finishing 10th in a mediocre fall season, our winter teams are psyched and ready to kick some ass. In other basketball action, our women's team, led by captain Cory Nakata '99, and our men's A-hoops team, led by Ben Blake '00 and Jeff Hockenbrock '00, are both set to defend their titles. How's that for domination? Both men's and women's volleyball are also in great position--the women's team is led by captain Daniela "Small hands" Retardi '01 and badass spiker Anita Kishore '99. Mike Lynn '99, Jay Ozuna '00, and Andy Borbely '00 are ready to tear up the court in another great season of men's volleyball. In the pool, Santosh Aravind '99, Dan "Biceps" Koehler '00, and Stew "Stew-fish" Hitchner '01 are part of an unbeatable team that is sure to take the crown.
