Morse

As Morsels, we know that others look to us to represent the true Yale tradition. Thus, let us take a moment to remember those that graduated last year. Jake "the Snake" Bliss '98 was one of the best all-around IM athletes at Yale and will surely be missed. Seth "Superfly" Searles '98 and Jan "Sweet 'N" Lo '98 led us to a B hoops championship and will also be difficult to replace.

But we cannot live in the past. Morse rages onto the fields this week with their memory in our hearts, but also with a surge of youth and rejuvenation. Led by junior Jonathan "Terminator" Thessin's unstoppable defense and Colin "The Man" Pan's '01 unrelenting attack, soccer looks to be in contention for the title. Football also shows signs of improvement and will likely be out of the red for the first time in five years under the leadership of master strategist Zak "Between The Lines" Pines '00.

And, of course, the best must be saved for last. Our dominant racket sports are primed and ready to dispose of all that stands in their way. Amy "Michael" Chang '00 has been out on the courts day and night getting ready for the big opener, and teamed with her talented co-captain Roel "Never met a lob he didn't like" Gutierrez '00, Morse is well on its way to a tennis repeat. Ping-pong, which fell only once last year, returns almost all its

starters, including our unstoppable women who have revenge on their minds.
