Pierson

While the Swami has predicted the imminent demise of Pierson intramurals, this could not be further from the truth. With the passing of an era of strong senior leadership, the youth of Pierson rises to the challenge with vigor. This fall, the courtyard has been a site for IM rehearsal with daily routines of soccer and football. Master G. himself was quoted as saying, "It's a groovy time baby, and Pierson's the grooviest!"

On the field? After winning co-ed soccer shirts last fall, Matt "Assault and bat-" Terry '00 and Aidan "Out for blood" Donnelley '00 are all geared up for the fall season as they lead their teams to victory. Andy "Razzle's my middle name" Borbely '00 has already claimed dominance in both co-ed and men's touch football. Parag "Here comes the pain" Vora '99 has offered to sacrifice his body for Pierson IMs as his senior leadership will no doubt be an asset.

On the courts? This year, Tom Lo '00 will attempt to break his record number of bleeding opponents (47) as he rains down thunderous spikes. Daniela "Be da ball" Ricciardi '01 plans on throwing far fewer tantrums as she aces opponents with her light-speed serves. A definite threat, the unstoppable Anna "Ace" Erickson '00 returns to IM splendor in court tennis.

On the table? Ping-pong may be a game to some, but for team captain Santosh "Swallow that little white ball" Aravind '99, table tennis is a way of life.

On the track? Dan "Marathon man" Koehler '00 and Anita "Legs" Kishore '99 return from the summer in the shape all of us wish we were in, ready to sprint past the competition in cross-country.

Groovy times for groovy people, the Swami will die, and Pierson shall triumph...okay, let's just have a lot of fun and take home some shirts.

Back to IMs...
