Berkeley

Who needs propaganda? Let the results (and the names) speak for themselves...

The Berkeley golf dynasty continued its dominance with two teams scoring two-under in the annual fall scramble. "I Only" Carrie "a Driver and a Putter" Trowbridge '99 and Charlie "-boy" Flynn '00 came through with clutch performances.

Led by captain Vicki "Just Wanna Have" Fung '99 and stars Jenny "Spike It Off Your" Bottomly '99 and Garrett "Cheese and" Weinberg '00, the volleyball team has been gleefully rolling over opponents.

The table tennis team won its first two matches, thanks to the efforts of the usual suspects. "I Escaped" Scott "Free" Clarke '02 added a hard-fought win at third singles, turning a close match into a rout.

Women's soccer won by embarrassing margins, building on last year's successes. Congratulations are due to Laura Kimberly "Is My Last Name" '99 who netted her first goal of the season.

The most exciting moments of the past two weeks came in coed razzle-dazzle against Branford. Jeff Thorn "In the Side of the Opposition" '99 heaved a last-second bomb to Jon "I May" Beslow "But I Sure Can Catch" '02 to knot the score at 13. Then Barrie "Them Alive" Koegel '99 did just that, romping into the end zone with the extra point to seal the victory.
