Golfing to the top

Pennsylvania's Kieran Doherty, '00, qualified for the 1998 U.S. Amateur Golf Tournament on Aug. 11 at Round Hill Golf Club in Greenwich, Conn. Doherty, on the strength of his two-round score of 142, was the only one to qualify from his team. Doherty competed at the U.S. Amateur from Aug. 23-30; he failed to reach the quarterfinals.
