Saybrook
Well, a new year has come around, and we in Saybrook,
tired of playing possum, have taken our place at the top of the Tyng Cup
Standings. The juggernaut of Saybrook IMs is ready and primed to plow through
the long, cold winter.
Chris Con"Air"way '99 leads his B- hoops team to an undefeated record as
flight school instructors Josh "Money" Mancell '00, Dan "I don't just beat
them, I out" Classen '00, Mike "Big Country" Reeves '01, and the new frosh look
to take the shirts which eluded them last year. Co-captain Jeremy Rissi"ding
Hairline" '99 has finally broken his scoreless streak in basketball, water
polo, and--most astonishingly--in hockey. His roommate "Big" Behi"nd" Rabbani
'99 had a solid .500 save percentage in our last hockey game and looks to sweep
the remaining hockey opposition behind Captain Ben McGrath '99.
Saybrook gets even stronger after the break. Our squash team looks to go
22-0 led by our international representatives. Beware, Keith Wesolowski PC '00:
bowling, led by captain Kevin "why do I nev" Irwin '99 and Nate "I would have
bowled 300, but I had a" Bohn"er" '99 looks to repeat last year's championship.
A-hoops, led by captains Paul "Let me shoot, I'm in a" Sohn '99 and Osvaldo
"Greedy" Banuelos '01, has jumped to a winning record. Natasha "More presence
than Harold" Bloom "in an elevator" '00 and Alice "B" Liu "by the opposition
again" '01 keep our women's sports undefeated, as we already knocked off that
pesky PC women's volleyball squad that ended up costing us the shirts last
year.
"Lord, give us the strength to defeat our opposition, and the mercy not to
kill them."
(Compiled by Grandmaster P, who is getting ready to execute his final
intramural gambit.)
