Morse

There are rumblings deep within the bowels of Morse. No, it's not the chili crispitos. The Morse IM machine has shifted into overdrive, and there's no stopping now. With the top five far above us only a week ago, we now stand only four points out of fifth. Amazing Monday will long be remembered.

The first game of the night was a nailbiter--that is, for those who were anxios to see if Morse W-hoops could shut out TD. 16-0 at the half and 40-4 at the end, women's hoops has arrived as an IM force.

Things only improved from there. Riding a two-game winning streak, water polo was ready to pounce on JE from the start. Thanks to our sniper Sara "Rocket Arm" Perkins '01, the tubers stormed out to an early lead and never looked back. Jonathan "The Wall" Thessin '00 was stellar in goal and was supported by the defense of Ezra "EESR" Rosser '00 and Nicole "Terminator" Dubuc '00. The offense was bolstered by the play of Tom "Skipper" Bayliss '00, Dan "The Man" Farkas '00, and Sean "Polo God" Ageno '00.

After that, we just rolled. The best was yet to come in a classic A-hoops drama against Stiles. Coming down to the final minute, Morse held on with the clutch shooting of Rob "Hawkeye" Fumerton '01, putting the game away 42-36.

All in all, 6-0 on the night. Morse means business, and there are signs that the 15-year drought might soon be over. Be afraid, be very afraid.
