Pierson

After a slow start, Pierson winter IMs are finally fulfilling their enormous potential. Women's hoops has won its last two games, led by captain Cory Nakata '99, Lindsay Hobbs '99, Erika Greenfest '00, Laura Benjamin '99, and Ali "Dunkin'" Junkin '01, who singlehandedly scored 27 points over a hapless Berkeley team. Says Nakata, "Come strong or don't come at all." Women's squash also won its past two games, led by Annie "No racquet is not an excuse" Yangek-sakul '99 and Heather Weymouth '01, while men's squash mainstays Matt Janik '00 and Patrick "Blue Whale" Bock '00 struggled to overcome low turnouts.

Ice hockey, with an impressive 5-1 record, killed TD in its last game 11-0, which just goes to show that coordinated IM T-shirts with college names on them are for sissies anyway. Props to Phil "The Ripper" Kim-ball '00, Mackenzie Hodges '01, Ken Maikish '99, Rob Sheridan '01, Schot "007" Hannan '01, James "The Enforcer" Yoon '00, and Bill Van Gelder '99 for the shutout. Despite low turnouts, Pierson's coed water polo team recently destroyed cross-street rival D-port, led by Eugene "Most scores in one night" Hagiwara '99, Clara Soh '99, Karen Knudsen '99, and captain Dan Dudis '99. Rounding it out are our men's and women's volleyball teams, and men's hoops, all with winning records. Like they say in that Burger King commercial, we're movin' on up.
