Saybrook

Well, the winter is halfway through, and Saybrook is still on top of the heap and pulling away rapidly from all the opposition. In this article, there will be a focus on the roommate duos who have help made it all possible.

From 921, the fearless senior twosome of McGrath and Whipple has made thunderous noise in the intramural world. McGrath put up stellar hockey performances with four goals against Silliman and Trumbull, showing himself to be truly clutch in knocking down 190 pins in game three against Berkeley. Whipple, also an undefeated squash player, tossed in a sudden-death gamewinner against Berkeley in water polo to clinch a fourth consecutive victory.

In the pool, 1010 has truly represented as Kyle Labush '01 and Catie McGuinn '01 have proved themselves to be defensive stoppers in polo. In 996, Big Daddy Sugar Cane '01 has dominated in water polo with four goals in his last game as well as propelling men's v-ball to five consecutive wins. Roommate Osvaldo "Kobe" Banuelos '01 has led the A-hoopsters to more wins than in the past two years combined. The roomies in 957, sophomores Eryan Cobham and Patrick Graham, are an integral part of Banuelos' team's success as they provide scoring punch and presence on the boards.

In 973, all is harmony, as hockey goalie Behi "I'm saving my good goalkeeping for Morse" Rabbani '99 and Jeremy "Goon" Rissi '99 have helped the hockey team to four straight victories. Our transfer students in 1015 have made an intramural splash, with Rashad Bartholomew '01 contributing to A-hoops with a killer jump shot and plenty of trash talk to match.

Saybrook is ready to rock in the second half of the winter season. The gauntlet has been thrown down. We are ready.
